Motivations :
Dear Madam, Sir,

Besides the popularity of group, it is your hotel development projects in Asia – Pacific that caught my attention. I just graduated, finished an internship in a 4* hotel in South - East Asia, and would like to start my career around this area. Therefore I am applying for an assistant department manager position in one of your hotel in Asia – Pacific or in your branch office for this area.

During my studies, I was always diligent and involved. Indeed I succeeded my Master’s degree with honors. This background gave me the ability to start a career efficiently in the hospitality industry. I dare say that the three best skills learned are organisation, project management and teamwork. Through my dissertations about relational marketing and sustainable development, I learned to be organized and methodological in my work. These skills helped me to manage the annual Christmas dinner and a video clip (lip dub), for my school CETIA. For these activities, as well as team building exercises, I have collaborated with professionals, associations and students.

I am conscious that these university and work environments are different. In the hospitality industry, a hotel has to provide services that are more efficient than competitors. To aim this target, managers have to be professional, proactive, and develop leadership. During my last internship, I worked hard to acquire these skills. Indeed I am reliable, double check my work, and always try to anticipate guest requests. For example, when I noticed that the breakfast offer was old-fashion, I decided to create a larger offer based on environmental issues with local and organic food. Consequently, guests were more attracted and the revenue per client increased of 10 %.

My career objectives are to work in different hotel departments to broaden my skills, with the target of being an executive general manager in 5 to 10 years. During this period, I want to work in various countries to develop my intercultural knowledge and skills. For me, these points are essential to become a high-quality manager in a worldwide context.

About my personality, I am meticulous in my professional life as well as in my social one. It is always with enthusiasm and dynamism that I realized various projects as youth camp organizer, rock-climbing monitor, or member of communities supporting agriculture.
